#3 CAMP PHANTOM This is the ultimate week away for a keen group of young Aussie basketball players - a week being coached by the famous Phantoms, their idols. The boys and girls get up to plenty of tricks both on and off the court. And coach Tim Parker has a few surprises for them as well. |
Chapter 1 extract.
'Top bunk's mine,' shouted Russell, as the boys crammed through the door.
'That's cool,' said Cheng. 'I'll have this one. I fell off a top bunk when I was little and ended up in hospital. Can't risk that happening here,' he joked. 'I don't want to miss a millisecond of this clinic.'
'This is great, isn't it?' said James. 'I still can't believe we're really here. Camp Phantom for a whole week!'
'Well, we deserve it, don't we?' asked Anthony. 'I mean, we did win the premiership. We trashed The Mixtures, didn't we!'
'Well...we didn't exactly trash them,' said Daniel. They'd only beaten The Mixtures by two points, right on the final buzzer. But so what, they'd won the premiership, and here they were at Camp Phantom.
